COACH STEVE DAY BIO

Soccer Coaching Credentials:

Holder of "USSF”, United States Soccer Federation, National D Coaching License as well as several USSF, Youth and Grassroots Player Developmental Youth Coaching modules.

Coach Steve has been coaching youth soccer in Alaska for 28 years at both the recreational, Academy and Competitive levels.

Coach Steve has also contributed his coaching expertise to the local community with the "ASD", Anchorage School District, for 11 years as Varsity Head Soccer Coach at Houston and Chugiak High Schools.

Coach Steve also has a successful National Select/Competitive Team Travel program that helps introduce and expose prospective College players to the college recruiting process by taking them to high level showcase tournaments around the Lower 48, and exposing players to recruiting collegiate coaches.

Coach Steve’s teams have competed and won numerous Tournament Championships within Alaska, (Alaska Airlines Cup, Zane Cup, Far North, and the coveted Alaska State Cup Championship Event.

His Travel Teams multiple successes include: The Las Vegas Mayor’s Cup, USA Cup, the Bend Premiere Cup, the Chinook Cup and the Disney Showcase Cup.

Coach Steve's Coaching Efforts Include the Alaska Youth Soccer Association designation as, "2018 Alaska Competitive Coach of the Year Award".

Coach Steve Comment, "I believe my calling and my greatest rewards are to see my players, past and present, reach a level of play they never thought possible, by developing, coaching and mentoring players to believe in themselves, giving them the confidence to attain their ultimate goals and dreams. Seeing my players have fun, as they pursue their soccer journey, is what makes me the happiest!
